I've been messing around in Photoshop with the gradient tool, overlay so I thought I would apply the same principal to my painting. I used a mix of thinner, wax medium, and japan drier to glaze the painting and create more texture.
I took this piece of wood from my grandmother a while back, and I painted the Seal of Camaguey, Cuba on it for her birthday today. Acrylic, polyurethane, and liquin on wood. 6"x6".
I was asked to work on a series of Obama Portraits. Here are the better ones so far. Oil on 30" x 30" stretched canvas using only a couple of pallet knives... no brushes.
